Headtorch Recommendations?

I had some Ever Ready bike lights that ran on 4 D-Cells, weighed about 6 kg each
And when you hit a bump,
the lights jump out of that white plastic clip thingy,
smash on the ground
and you grovel around in the dark trying to find all the little bits and pieces
to reassemble it in the dark,
light up and ride home.

Ah those were the days

yes - and even with a fresh set of batteries could see about 4 metres

Just before the introduction of white LEDs, lasted 8 hours on a pair of c-cells. Say 80 miles?
I thought that overall pollution per mile, if you didn't recycle the batteries (hard in 1995) could be similar to driving a car.🤯

Co² probably less though🥳
