Yes. Times they are a changing indeed! I remember when going out riding at night involved lots of carrots.Can't help much, my knowledge of headtorches ended in the mid 90's at petzls with filament bulbs and 3x AA batteries
Yes. Times they are a changing indeed! I remember when going out riding at night involved lots of carrots.
And when you hit a bump,I had some Ever Ready bike lights that ran on 4 D-Cells, weighed about 6 kg each
And when you hit a bump,
the lights jump out of that white plastic clip thingy,
smash on the ground
and you grovel around in the dark trying to find all the little bits and pieces
to reassemble it in the dark,
light up and ride home.
Ah those were the days
Petzl: better manufacturing and environmental values, plenty of expertise, reliability and spares backup.
The weird thing is, people are buying 'classic' ones and using them without upgrades!yes - and even with a fresh set of batteries could see about 4 metres
