Hands up who owns too many Bikes

26, currently.

Already tried to sell frames and parts to get back home (i´m sleeping in the garden, with my dog  ), but in the end i buy 2 frames to compensate the psychological damage of selling one.

They´re never too much, i think. My wife doesn´t mind, but she keeps asking me why do i need to have so many bikes. Well, let´s say i need to collect everything so one day i can choose my top 10, keep them, and send away the rest... (yeah, right!)

No seriously, it´s hard to explain. Must be an old trauma, but sometimes a simple part is enough to build a complete project around it. Everything needs to be perfect, everything has to fit correctly when i look at the bike. So, to complete a project, that takes time, i sometimes get to buy 3 chainsets, and in the end, none looks ok to me... but 3 new chainsets at home, mean 3 new projects!

you are not alone. But this has definitely, along with the rest of this thread, made me dust off the old manual:

My main problem as most of you have, is having little space for keeping the bikes away from wife, hehe.

I must be relatively lucky then, my better half has 4 bikes of her own and doesn't mind that the garage/workshop looks like a bike shop, as long as her bikes are properly maintained and she can get to them easily for a ride when she wants.

Hi mate! I think i can help you with that!

Not for riding, at least actually:
-Fat Chance ti (frame)
-Alpinestar TI-mega (frame)
-Merlin Elevator

I believe i can find a space in my home to keep them. I can pick them up personally (Spain is right next door) and even buy you a beer.

Who´s your friend, eh?

;)

I've cut down quite a bit but I've still got too many bikes  I'm going to try and get down to 5 complete bikes as I've got 5 that I know I'll never sell ;)

Then have one decent project on the go instead of the 10 crappy projects I have on the go at the moment

In true sense of the word obsessive, I admit to having a problem that has become out of my control.
I omit 4 other bikes from the list in my signature.

This is so that I am not reminded too often of the potential cull looming over the fleet.

OK so I've ended the BH weekend with a good old browse on eBay and I must confess that I am currently 'watching' 12 bikes / frames

I am seriously thinking about buying one! The pointer has been hovering over the Buy it Now tab and I even got as far as the 'Commit to Buy' on three occasions. Gm1230126 I had a real good look at your LTS-2.......

I've only got one project on the go at the moment and am looking at getting something less expensive to 'tinker' with. One where parts are easier and cheaper to source.

I think the sun must have gone to my head :)
