I came across this ad on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... TQ:GB:1123

The suspension fork looks to be on backwards. I contacted the seller and she messaged back to say that she had bought it from Halfords last year and it had even had its 8 week service check and they hadn't mentioned it.

Am I right? I've never really believed all those scare stories about Halfords before but now................?

Reminds me of the student I stopped at University last year, his rigid forks were on backwards so the wheel was almost on the frame. Took seconds to fix for him but how he haddn't noticed I don't know.

Not only did Halfords get it wrong first time, they didn't even notice when they serviced it 8 weeks later - what were they thinking of?

Ah but dont jump the gun!

When bikes go into halfords they are hung up and the bars are turned for maximum space. When the bike is returned some people choose to turn the bars themselves and thus this often happens.

Nooo..!!! Dont let the truth get in the way of a good burning session!! I'd just nipped to Tescos and bought big kitchen matches too..
