Peek is my weopen of choice, the a coat or 2 of car wax to help keep it shiny for longer.

Oh wow, plus lots of elbow grease too I’d imagine. No fine grit (2000+) wet and dry needed then?

Not as much elbow grease as you'd think. My frame was nos so hadn't got any scuffs, scratches or years of patina to polish out. I've kept it that way through years of little use embarrassingly.

Only need to break out the wet and dry if there are scratches you want to smooth out. I'd only do that as a last resort myself.
