When you satisfy a children dream twice… It’s time to satisfy a third one!
And when you are a fan of GT Bicycles… It’s inevitably another GT bicycles!
After a thermoplastic STS 1000 DS from 1998 and an alloy GT Zaskar LE “team” from 1999, it’s time for a titanium one! First thing to come is the Xizang! But too expensive for me… So the alternative was the Lightning, a cheapest one but the same tubes than the Xizang but not weld in the USA (Taïwan).
To be honest, I’m not spending time to find it. A friend told me that he looking for a Lightning frame for him, and he asks me some advice regarding the frame size. Sold as a 20”, after a closer look it looks to me like a 18”. After some additional measurements from the seller and additional pictures, my feeling was the right one!
As he pass his turn, I was the second in line… And decide to buy it!
