Hi everybody,
I'm new here and also in love with retro bikes .
My name is Bart and living in Belgium. I found this site a week ago and spend hours reading al this great builds bikes and their related stories that came with the bike . Amazing stuff so i think i got myself a new hobby.I'm also very passionated to biking.
I own a Ridley Triton Racebike and a US Scannini MTB. Both are ridden every week but after reading al this stuff here i want to go for my first build. I always had a crush for the GT's MTB....i don't know why but i started to search and my search din't lasted very long.
I found a GT Agrressor for only 30 euro's . I could't let this one go, and it was the 110 km's worth it. The owner didn't know wich year this bike was so i was hoping maby someone could tell me here :?: :?:
It is a aluminium frame , and the group is shimano Acera X
The front fork is missing a piece , but no worry because it's the frame that's getting the attention.
So plans for the moment are:
- Frame is gonna be stripped and polished as hell
- Parts ive got to think about it
So had a few questions.
- what the exact procedure for polisch a frame? And to remove the paint safely without making to much scratches?
- What year is this bike? Maby some recognize this...
Thx in advance
And sorry for my bad English ...still learning
My regards
