Great news. Ebay drops seller charges!

I think RM48 is still viable, 95% of the time I get full tracking, on the off chance I don’t and a claim is filed for non delivery, I can claim back the loss from RM up to the value of £150.

Also at least eBay has told us with some notice.

Tiktok and another site didn't tell me that they had changed their terms to only payout upon delivery which meant that I had around £1k worth of stuff that was unpaid until they saw sense and paid me.

Oof could do without that sort of nonsense.

Though did notice booking a regular parcel on the RM app yesterday that tracked 48 is the same price as RM 2nd class £4.85. Has that always been the case? I have no problem using RM, they collect it free from my porch! Guess it’s more of an issue for a business doing loads of parcels rather than my less than 10 a month.

Our business post costs roughly £2.50 for a RM48 and £3.50 for RM48 signed for. Varies slightly daily depending on the amounts and weights but it’s around that.

The normal RM48 in theory has a delivery scan but around 50% are missed. Not an issue if you are paid out without delivery confirmation and have a honest/ naive customer who doesn’t realise they could try to scam for non delivery (when it is) because of no scan.

I guess the seller still has the funds taken from them regardless of the delivery status. So it’s eBay holding on to the cash for extra time.

There will only ever be one winner
Yes, I think you’re right there!

On here never had anything than one small misunderstanding with a sale. In that case I was quite happy to karma the stuff as you know there is no monkey business. EBay just a ball ache sometimes with people expecting everything for nothing.

From a private sales view I’ve never had much eBay trouble to be honest. I’ve always put it down to the fact the bits I’m selling are being sold to like minded/ age folk.

However …. This last week I’ve had an absolute moron. She purchased the item on the 22/12 so I posted it Monday 23/12. She selected 2nd class but I decided to pay for RM48 signed. Cue the 26th the messages start , firstly saying I’ve not dispatched , then I’d used a fake tracking number , then the label I showed her was fake , and then all other stuff.

Item finally arrived and she left me my first negative feedback. Quick call to eBay and it was removed as they saw she was a loon

My long study of ebay sales correlates price strongly with lunacy.

Too low, troublemakers
Too high, timewasters.

Anyone else find this, or is it just me that's the common denominator here🤔
