thanks it's very interesting report. looks easy to alter the gear change point if you found it coming on to early.

If I did go down this route, I'd try different size rear cogs before messing around with the hub

Addicted, that is one cool looking Trek! Having not seen one like this before I could now become a fan. Not usually a brand on my radar but this is very nice. Can you tell me a bit more?

8.5miles, 70% road. Loved it.

Had a ss before and only gave it one ride before ditching it.. but just loved it yesterday. Brilliant fun.

Glad to hear you loved it Coomber
I haven't ridden gears off road now since about 2009 or so and love it more all the time. Besides the old Stumpy its the Pugsley and 1X1 that see all the work, so a another Surly fan as well.

what chain ring sizes are you running if your doing off road and road biking

Good question. I bought this recently so kept as it is.

34 / 20 at the mo. Its pretty easy going but I did push second half of a 17% hill near the start as post op im not meant to be putting too much through my knee.

On the flat road its spinny but that suits me at the moment with fitness and injury.
