Great big Singlespeed thread!

It will take a 29+ in the fork I reckon but I had a bit of fouling with a 2.35" Hans Dampf on a 42mm rim on the rear of mine. I did have the wheel pretty far forward running ss so might have had a bit more room with the wheel further back, but defo not enough space for full 29+.

Been looking at yours I think on here. You are right on clearance. Not looking at doing anything but winter bike ss duties on it. Quality looks spot on I really like it.

Just need knee to recover and fitness to come. One experience of ss wasnt the best as was so unfit. Three months off might not be the best prep!

Re:

Here's mine....always wanted to give it a go.
Still needs tweaking here and there. Haven't decided on final gearing yet!!!

Pop the middle bit through the back of your broken chain so the pins are pointing forward, place the bit on the right over the 2 pins then the last bit is like a little clip to hold it all together!

Thanks Ben, ordered a new KMC chain and that had a link pin like I'm used to so on that now.

I'll post a pic up when I take it out but my knee isn't up for SS yet post op.

Re:

Please don't blast me as technically this isn't a ss option. I want to do my 1st ss build but I also like the looks of bikes with no brake levers, cables and brake assemblies. so I was thinking of a sram 2 speed automatix with coaster brake.

The only off road in with around my local canals all tbe rest will be with my 6 year old or general trundling so I figured the 2 speed would fit the bill but still look single speed.

has anyone got any experience of these

https://www.sram.com/sram/urban/products/automatix

if this does details anyone's back up because of not being ss related feel free to ask it to be removed but I figured this would be the best thread to post it in
