Found this in a garage sale, thought it might be good for somebody here.

Trek 730 multitrack frame and forks, I think its a 95 from the archive. 21" c to t. Threads all good, few light scuffs as you can see, but sound frame and forks. Designed for all road use, so quite a hardy frameset.

Takes 700c wheels, with canti front and rear. OX True temper tubing. Thought it would make somebody a fantastic gravel / touring bike on a budget.

Shoved it in this section as thought it might be more interest as an off-road steed, rather than on.

Can probably find an old headset and some shimano cantis f.o.c. to help the build get going too!

Looking for £35 plus a bit of post (about £15 ) so call it £50 all in.

Uk mainland postage only. PayPal friends and family or add 5%.

Cheers.

The paints got a few scuffs, but its all intact, no chainsuck, tyre rub or major chips.

The rear rack mounts and round the canti mounts have lost a little paint, but its really quite good for its age.

Remember its 700c, so 21" is not that big. Its also 1" threaded steer, so either old mtb or road parts would be easy to fit.

No need! I was being lazy - thinterweb tells me 50s JUST fit, but that c.42 be fine and maybe 35 -38 with guards.

Ok. Heres a couple of photos with 35mm specialized nimbus tyres in.

Front measures around 60mm rear around 55mm hard to tell exactly as obviously every tyre profile is going to be a wee bit different.

Had a pm about the tubing. OX is a heat tempered tubing akin to tange prestige or 725 Reynolds.

The frame weighs in at about 2.3kg, but considering it "real deal" steel, 21" and made for all road use, i don't think that's bad!

Hi Tootyred, I’d be keen to take this off your hands if it’s still available. Pretty new to the retro mtb scene (not counting an outpost pub bike) so this could be a good starter project

Ps. I went about trying to pm you but it turns out as a newbie I’ve been doing too much lurking and not enough messaging to send one - must rectify…
