I did manage to get my head around how I would route the cable at one point - I remember referring to the original catalogue picture... might help you too.

Thanks for that. Yeah I can see now, that particular mech has a cable stop built in doesn’t it. I think I’ll have to buy a clamp on cable stop to finish the outer cable above the front mech
