Re: Graphic Shack decals ??

Well, I'm sorry to say that I now regret having paid for Garry's Kona Cindercone decals, as advertised on ebay. Like the rest of his decals I've seen from all your photos, the decals received are very thick. Any type of clear coating will look odd over these (as with the Orange frame photo'd in this chat). I mailed Garry about this. In his reply, he mentioned giving me a 'sample' of something else which is thinner. This was almost 2 months ago. A further 5 mails have had no reply and I have not received any type of sample. So can't say that I would recommend GraphicShack, customer service is pretty poor and as mentioned, the decals don't do what it says on the tin. Very dissapointed.
Konas, Oranges, Yates, Yetis, Roberts......all done by Garry at graphic shack, some examples of which are shown in this thread, and all are perfect, actually more than perfect, in my eyes. And covered in clear coat.
And whilst i appreciate no one is infallable, and mistakes do happen, I cannot accept that Garry would not find a way to get you sorted, even if it was a generic ebay kit.
Perhaps you should post a pic for all to see...?
Im pretty sure it wont be any different than that of the decals i have on the kona below, (or the other examples ive shown)
( done by Garry as a special order in my colours, and laminated,
the colours/sizes/widths etc all spot on. And then i asked him to manufacture/replicate the original Fox decals, in custom colours too, as you can see the results are superb, and after several months of use, are still in perfect order)
And to be fair, why dont people use the phone anymore....? why email, just give the fella a ring.....?
I think its a sad day when someone finds it easier to Run someone down, give them a good public flogging, rather than actually pick up the phone, and sort it out like men. ( and no i dont see it makes any difference where in the world you live).
And on a side note, i do use Gil_M too, and have had some exceptional work done there too, i have also had a couple of slight mishaps, that were of course put right, but as i say communication is everything...., and no i certainly wouldnt want to bad mouth someone for a simple mistake, and potentially harm there business and possibly take food off there table.
But what i find totally rediculous is.....how come you bought a set of decals in september of last year for £17.00, and didnt use one of the two telephone numbers on the website to contact, straight away....why did you wait till January this year to start sending emails, and yet still not pick up the phone and make a simple phone call.....??? thus enabling you to resolve the situation.....!!!!!
I am personnally furious to be "frank", you are clearly not an active contributing member on this site, (judging by your posts and involvement since joining,) and yet because you cant pick up the phone and sort out a problem, that you personnally have made worse, you think its acceptable to come on here and slag someone off.
there are very few people doing this sort of work for the retro bike community, thankfully we have had Gil for a long time, but i suspect very much like Garry, Gil gets laden down with work as well.
We need all the help we can get with the restorations of these machines, and im sorry its idiots like you, that make it harder for the rest of us,
I for one am very thankful for all the work Garry has done, and i hope he continues with all the good work he does.
Examples below are of Paintwork, decals, and clear coat, all carried out by Garry at graphic shack.
