Hi all.
Not long been home after my Brother and I went for a ride along the river at Arundel.
Picked up my 1996 Kona Lava dome in sunburnt orange yesterday, fitted my spd's from the fire mountain and had a quick go over to make sure its all ok.
16 miles of stunning country and fast singletrack on a stunning bike.
Rich is Riding a 1999 yellow/orange Lava dome.
Oh, and saw a guy on a yellow Gary fisher with johnny T's on. Nice guy and cool bike.
Got chased by a herd of cows, ended up in stingers a few times, and covered myself in stagnant river water, and stopped at the black rabbit for a swift half.
Fantastic.
The bike rides like a dream.
One thing, can anyone recommend very good canti brake pads.
I have koolstops in black on there, and they are getting low, and not that impressive.
Dont matter about price, just so long they stop me very well.
The canti's are the Curve ones on there.
Im tempted with racelines, but love canti's.
Me and Rich both agreed, that this is what riding is about.
Brought back some memories, and engraved some new ones.
