Front gear change problem

I have put 2.1 Furious Fred tyres on my Clockwork. I didn't check before with 1.9s, but the front gear change now won't move enough to allow the chain to drop to the smallest cog. Is there a work around or is it a problem with the wider tyres I will have to live with.

I had this problem when I put 2.5's on my 456.

Try rotating the front mech a little anti-clockwise so the rear moves away from the tyre, you may have to adjust the limit screws

It worked for me

Won't that turn your front mech into a device for scraping mud from your tyres? Just a thought.

Like I said it worked for me! Got any better ideas
