Flying Ants...

.. So this afternoon I went out into the garden and there was just millions of the buggers flying up to the jaws of doom circling above, in the skies.

Anyone else had them today?

Is today their 'day'??

Came back from park... Opened back door and BOOM...
Hundreds coming out everywhere..

Got my own back had a can of freeze spray so blasted all holes and followed with boiling water.... They actually pop..!!

And a bit ofwhite spirt works well too :twisted:

My memory from being young, is that they always seemed to surface on days that were suddenly hotter than normal, perhaps with a bit of humidity.

Is that random, misfiring synapses, or is there something to that?

Yup, siht loads in my area today, everywhere. Boiling water treatment in the garden after work this afternoon.
