Fife and Tayside rides thread

Re:

Maybe worth dropping them an email ZZ. If they don't get any feedback they'll never know.

Re: East Coast Rides Thread

Funnily enough I posted on their FB page after replying. I know it's easy to be negative, but I wonder if they actually have any body on the build team that rides a mountain bike. There's something wrong when you only use custom built bike trails because a/ It's marginally more interesting that going out on the road bike, and b/ They're a good way of linking up the decent, natural singletrack.

They're spending (I'm assuming) a lot of money on a cafe and visitor centre, and there is going to be a bike hire shop too. The trails just don't justify it.

Re:

I think you could well be right. They'll have people who can physically build it but no good idea of what an experienced rider wants. Look at it as an opportunity to help guide progress.

OK, see how it goes weather wise. Would it be safe tae go intae Toonhill Wids in the dark? ;)

It's a bit late noo but sort of put this out my mind knowing it was gonnae be pishin doon today and Friday.
But it looks like it'll be "not raining" from 4 onwards Friday. It'll be mair than a bit wet though. Somebody on TrailScotland posted on Blairadam thread at beginning of week saying Blairadam was surprisingly dry, it won't be now. Would have liked a bimble roon Toonhill Wids but it's no sae guid exploring in the dark.

Knew I should have gone out on Tues and Wed when it wis still dry. Lazy bassa.

Re:

aye, was thinking the same OCP plus I'm fighting the start of my first head cold of the year so lets pencil in next Friday.

Re: East Coast Rides Thread

took my Physio round kelty this afternoon, he really enjoyed it. Trails were soaking though.

so looks like we may have another member of our wee group of merry men. Hes quite keen to get out riding as he is new to the area. decent enough on a bike as well.

so will no doubt introduce him to you bunch of raving nutters soon!
