Fat Chance Yo Eddy Steerer tube length query

Hi all. I picked up a medium (17 inch c/c seat tube) yo eddy from ebay a couple of weeks ago and a yo eddy fork that I think is also from a medium but from a different bike (grello fork, lilac fade frame).

I'm going to get them both re-finished in a 'yet to be decided' colour, but I think the fork steerer (threaded) might be too long for the head tube on the medium. So might need trimming and re-threading at the time of the repaint. Steerer is 5 inches long, can anyone tell me if this is the same as their medium Yo please?

I'll be using a campag headset, not sure on the stack height but most 1inch threaded headsets of the time appear to be of a similar height.

its not a RAL stock colour. it was a mix, you could line up 3 lavender Fats from different times & the colours would all vary slightly. ask for a colour match to milka chocolate wrapper, then very light overspray with red metallic
