Fat bike advice please.

I have been in doubt about a Fatty for quite some time... then last year I ended up getting a full carbon Carver O'Beast. While building the bike all that went through my head was "God, I hope this isn't money down the drain" (since I went with all carbon RF Next parts etc).

One year later: all of my retro bikes are for sale and the Carver is all I've ridden since octember last year when it was finished. I even went from 2x11 to 1x11 two months ago (with Wolf Tooth front ring) as I was very afraid that going from 3x7 with big rings to 1x11 with something 32T front and 10-42 rear was not for me.

Bottom line I love it!! ;-) Just my two cents...

I think the next time I have a chance to go to halfords I'll have a look at the wazoo I think, don't think I'll come away with one though.

Well I'm going to go outdoors tomorrow to have a look at the calibre dune, wether I'll come away with one, I don't know yet.

It's actually doing my head in, which would you go for between the wazoo and dune? All my local halfords are sold out of the wazoo, my nearest wazoo is Glasgow! The fella a halfords said the new ones are will be in stores November time and back up to £500 all because of a colour change!

The Halfords option has front suss, hydraulic brakes, and more gears. I really am clueless. My pal got a Mongoose that is well kitted out and rides well. On instinct I would say the Voodoo.

With fat bikes there is a lot more influence from other components relative to the frame, in my view, but that is the same way I look at full sussers too. Lots of air in those tyres!

I'm pretty sure the halfords bike is rigid and the same speed as the dune, the halfords one like you say has hydro brakes over the calibre, the calibre is lighter and has bolt through hubs.
