What really puzzles me is that the Mistral crankset is the perfect complement to the Premier derailleur, having the same amazing finish. Beautifully made components.Ofmega are a mysterious but fascinating company to me - they made loads of forgettable Campagnolo clone products, but then came out with some beautifully designed and finished components that still stand out from the crowd.

The plastic Mistral RD definitely tends toward the 'weird,' but the crankset has to be classed as 'wonderful' in my eyes.

I have a crank and most of a Premier group I am looking forward to showing off on the right frame one day.
My weightweenie mate ran these for a few months, until the lack of any float and the third or fourth fall at some traffic lights put him off. Incredibly light but very hard to clip out of. I was never tempted
I know the whereabouts of a complete Premier group, boxed, in the Styrofoam! You'll have to get on a plane to buy it thoughYep, their naming conventions are all over the shop. The Mistral front derailleur is a horrible plasticy job, along with the shift levers (they are like the Modolo 'carbon fiber' ones) so my intended build is all Premier where possible. They even packaged them this way as complete groups.
I bought a bike with the clip in Merckx pedals on it. The guy (a farmer) only used them with Welly boots. Having attempted unsuccessful clip in/out, I could see why the choice of footwear, was choice...My weightweenie mate ran these for a few months, until the lack of any float and the third or fourth fall at some traffic lights put him off.
