'that's a nice looking bike'
the other guy says

In the early to mid eighties, Suntour and Shimano started to make some nice road bike components and were sort of level pegging in terms of quality and performance. Both were more affordable than Campagnolo, which everyone that could afford it used.
I lost interest in cycling for a few years and when I returned in the early 90's, Suntour components were nowhere to be seen on mountain bikes. (Did Campag ever produce any MTB stuff?)
They still exist: http://www.srsuntour-cycling.com/, but I haven't come accross any bicycles which use their components, other than the odd, fairly low end bits and pieces, and the components don't seem to be available separately anywhere.
