Explain your Avatar's

Having had 10 years off bike riding I made a return to the top of Rivington Pike... The pic is a photo of my bike 30 seconds after I got there.

Mines my favourite bike,

whenever i browse here and my Mrs happens to ask what i'm doing and i say retrobike, she always replies with hows baby pickle doing nowadays lol

It's the rarest stem on earth - PFR (Parkpre Factory Racing) chromoly - took me 3 years to find a minty one.

After reading this, i have decided to change my avatar to my favourite picture of myself.

Its an older one but i still really like it.
The portrait is from my unexpected employee of the month promotion circa June 1988.
Back then i was working in Rumbelows as a sales person, i had exeeded the sales target and was awarded top sales assistant for our region  :D

My moustache was in its prime (ive never seen a better picture of it).
Sadly she is no longer with us. She was high maintenance and took up a lot of my free time, my bike was feeling neglected.

Anyway thats my story.

Lets hear some more guys!

Barry.

P.s. Fantastic forum by the way!!!

Greg LeMond, my own personal road racing hero. Not the best ever, but was around when I was at a very impressionable age. I will never for get his emotion with his wife kathy at the top of Alp D'Huez in 1991 against Delgado. Also his behaviour on the same mountain with Bernard Hinault in 1986 marks him out as a gent. :D

For a change mine is not cycling related.

Just a random one that I found & thought was pretty damn funny

A pace frame, a Royce BB and a Middleburn Crank.

Not particularly hard to explain- just 3 of my favourite things.
