Bit of progress last night on cabling and bits. I seem to have a lot of left over small parts that I didn't have before, and i can't see how to make my shimano brake booster fit, nothing insurmountable though!

I was debating whether or not to get orange cables for my P7 build, and now I've seen them, I think I might bite the bullet.

My Elite should be finished next week, waiting on some NOS and very lightly used parts, in the meantime I found this page in an old MBUK- crikey, £1640 for an XTR Elite back in 1993. Nice to see some love for it from my local bike shop- Carl at Balfe's bikes worked for the Syncros importer back in the 90's and likes the syncros bits on mine (and the bike!)

Just realised i never polluted the thread with my final incarnationn...

The frame is still on here and i've got a 17" as a pub bike :facepalm: (but will rebuild her)

I've got A50600644 from 1995.

Am second owner, but still as per late 1990s rebuild.

Just picked up an orange elite on ebay last week.

Its got loads of nice bits, but is need of some love!

Its been converted to single speed and to be honest i might keep it that way for a while.

Long term plan is to build up with xtr mech's and shifters to compliment the xtr cranks but theres no rush.

First thing is to get the frame polshed! Any links to frame decals??

Also, the original forks steerer have been cut short! anybody have a set of forks they may wish to part with??

Will post pics later, along with frame number.

A2033521 just turned up at my place 17" CTT & (21.5" along TT / ~22 Horiz)

Does 31.4 seatpost and 34.8 Q/R band sound right ?
