List updated on page 4

Archemist elite unfortunately needs to be removed from list, had a tiny crack in the seat tube, so it was never built up, and sold on by me cheap for wall art  :(

Plus the elite frame I bought off you was sold on also

Am second owner, but still as per late 1990s rebuild.

Cheers,
Rich

Pic's not showing for me. E3?

Re:

Checking in with A2033592, picked it up in a bit of state. Wet sanded a chain stay and polished it back up and came out well but looks like a lot of work ahead!

Nice to see another Elite, I'll note your number on the list.

Great start with the frame, looks like it will come up a treat, keep up with the elbow grease, it's well worth it in the end.

Looks like you still have the original stem and litestik seatpost, can you still make out the logo on the front of it?. Most of the logo's wore off over time. I managed to make a decal of one, I'll post a pic of it if anyone's interested.

I quite fancy an Orange, so I guess tonight with a beer in hand I'll be browsing this this thread. Early steel, hardtail is my kind of thing. Back of my mind from my days as a youth is something about 1" steerer tube...or is that my memory failing?
Research time.
Janners

1" tune was the standard for bikes, at the very end of the 80's/turn of the 90's along came those fat headset of Evolution and OverSize jobbies (1 1/4" and 1 1/8")
Most Alu frame went 1 1/4", as did Oranges.
Steel stayed with both standard and Oversize, around 93 to 96 companies mostly phase out 1" and 1 1/4" and settled on 1 1/8", mainly due to ease only having one standard and because aheadset (threadless) also took over at that time and they were generally 1 1/8" and it was all hunky dory for another two decades...

Re:

Can anyone confirm the seatpost diameter please for a 1992 elite?

I’m renovating mine and a new 31.6 is too large....

Was there a smaller size used early on?

Cheers
Andy

My '92 has a 31.6, I thought they all had the same size
