Another ebay rant from me is.... key-word spamming :roll:
When you searching for one particular item and some git is selling a Campagnolo Nouvo rear mech and then sticks NOT dura ace - mavic - sram - colnago - pinarello - giant - wilier on their listing, hoping to get more people looking in on his item.

The case has been decided in the buyer's favour. Still, at least he has to send it back at his own expense to get his refund, rather than making me pay for return postage as well. I call that a victory, sort of.
If I was a more vindictive person than I am, I would be able to buy one of the things he's selling, then claw my money back in the same way. The items he's selling all have stock photographs, and my mind is much more organised than his; in effect, I could get free stuff. If I were to do such a thing it would be illegal, of course, but if I can get away with it without repercussions, what does that mean? I can't help thinking that's an unhealthy marketplace.
As to me, that's certainly the end of my selling on eBay. We'd close the account, but Gwin needs it for work. That makes no difference to them at all, of course, but they will lose any future seller fees from me. My tax return is on the horizon; looking back, I see I paid eBay more than £800 in seller fees last year. Not much to them, but looking around I am far from the only person they did it to and I can't help but feel it's going to hurt them in the long run.
They won't see a penny from me next year, because much as I enjoy being a wheeler-dealer, it simply isn't worth my time. I would make much more money if I took my old stuff to the dump and spent a bit more time at work.

I stopped selling stuff on ebay two years ago because the ebay fee's and also paypal fee's had gone through the roof, yet they are in it together.

I sold a bag my wife bought new with all the tags on it for wow 0.99p the seller left me a message to post asap I replied its xmas eve so it will be after that she received it and told me it was not as described and sent me 2 pics and to me and a few other people who have checked the pic it looks like it has been scraped off
Rather diferent from the pictures I took of the bag and I also told her that if the bag had been in the damaged condition I would not have sent it heres the listing pics
no damage at all but one more day until ebay probably side with her I suppose

They already had a damaged bag and wanted a replacement, at least you have decent picture of the condition is was in when posted.
Call me paranoid but I quite often take pics of serial numbers and on phones IMEI numbers so if they try and switch items on me to get a replacement for free I can call them out. I think if they send it back to you and you have proof they switched on you it becomes a criminal case of fraud.
