Ebay "auction" site

I've notied for the first time that they have changed reporting listings. It now takes a little longer because you have to add some free text to explain the report, which seems like a good idea.

However, it claims that they are now reviewed by a customer service agent. The one who looked at this listing, which comes up for hundreds of unrelated searches, deeemd that they had not used excessive keywords that did not relate to the listing:

If they are going to allow keyword spamming that should help save me money, as it means the parts/bikes I'm looking for in saved searches get drowned out by lots of unreated items.

[edit] Feel free to report and see whether you get the same response.

When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. Affiliate programs and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the eBay Partner Network.
Oh hum. More weirdness and bugs.

Had an item for sale that disappeared from the searches and was no longer visible domestically or EU wide.

For three days I noticed it was added to some ones shopping cart, but no purchase.

This makes no sense, and reading up:

If an item disappears from your cart

There are a number of reasons why an item could be automatically removed from your cart. For example:
  • Someone else may have purchased the item
  • The seller or eBay may have ended the listing early, or it naturally expired
  • If the item was listed in an auction-style format with a Buy It Now option, someone else may have placed a bid
  • You may have added the item to your cart on a different eBay site
  • The seller may have changed their buyer requirements

All I did to get it visible again in the search was to modify the listing title, and voila all appears again. I suspect some people are actually using the cart more like the function of following the item and never checking out.
