I have a new Trek Roscoe 7 MTB, which is a great bike. I have become especially appreciative of the dropper post.
Which makes me wonder... is a dropper post reasonably feasible for my 1991 Stumpjumper, without getting crazy expensive? My reasoning: a dropper post would make mounting and dismounting a lot easier for me.
Not sure of the fit to the seat tube diameter. I know that the cable would have to be routed along the tubes, but not sure if a dropper would even be fairly straightforward with this vintage bike.
I'm in process of converting this beloved Stumpjumper toward being essentially a city bike - with a more upright riding position, and more pavement oriented 1.75" tires.
I know there are remote control droppers, but I think they are too costly to be worth it.
Any thoughts on this?
