Does anyone recognise this DH style stem?

Can anyone identify this stem, looks like it's been rattle canned so ignore the colour. It might just be cheap tat, but came on a bike I bought for the forks. It looks similar to the Planet X stems from 2000 ish, but isn't.

That was my first thinking too but looks a bit different. Im sure everyone was kicking out these CNC stems at the time, but the bike had good parts for that time on it, bolted onto a later and much lower end frame, so im quietly hopeful it might be at least a reasonable brand.
