DISSIN THE OLD SKOOOL

I LOVE TECHNOLOGY MAN! BUT ALSO LOVE THE CLASSICS. WHY IS IT THAT SOME PEOPLE DISS OLD SKOOL BIKES? I SAW A GUY WRITE ON A SITE THAT SOME DUDE ROCKED UP ON A VINTAGE STUMPY AT A LOCAL TRAIL, HE WROTE THAT HE COULDNT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS GUY TURNED UP TO A GUNFIGHT WITH A KNIFE. WHAT A COCK! DOES HE THINK ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE A RIOT ON A VINTAGE BIKE?

well i must agree with you.

here all the "good old bikes" are rubbish and are almost everytime convicted to horrible death in scrapyards.cant understand it,many times these old bikes are longer laasting ( therefore even more economical too) and better made than this use&throw away crap they call modern and civilized.

If you're riding a retro-bike and you overtake someone on a modern bike, its because you're fitter or more skilled than they are, not because your bike is better.

Modern bikes are better, fact. 'Dirtjumper DMR' might be more skilled on his old school bike than some are on their modern bikes, but put him on a modern bike and he'd be even better.

i have noticed this very thing when i have been out riding on some of my old bikes , some people admire them and then you get some jumped up wannabes that basically try and take the piss !! i don'treally understand this , if it wasn't for a lot of the old stuff none of the new stuff would be as it is today. you wouldn't get someone who has a Ferrari 430 take the piss out of someone with a Daytona !! There should just be equal respect all round as at the end of the day we all have the same interests .
