Hi, New to the forums so a big hello

Looking at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIAMOND-BACK- ... 485d3d6315 on eBay and wondered if anyone knows what the original spec should be?

Was thinking of bidding up to about £200 do you think its worth that?

If thats truly a Sandvik frame and given that its SJS selling it, it may be safe to assume so, then I strongly doubt that £200 will be any where here enough.

A similar bike - the Axis TT went for £300 frame only on here.

SJS Cycles should be ashamed of themselves, that looks disgusting!
As for price I imagine it will go fairly high, retro titanium seems to be making quite a bit of money on eBay at the moment.
Even more so now you've outed it on here!

Indeed - I would expect the naff look of that bike to put a few off but nothing a bit of tinkering wouldn't sort.

oh dear god what did they do to that!

I think for that era the spec was something like mostly LX (but not that LX on there) with ridgid fork or XTR with marzochhi xc300 or something like that... there should be a catalogue in the archives.

And yeah if it was 200# for frame only i'd buy it for a bargane and ship it over here!

Advert says frame size is 17-19. Nice and helpful.

Talked to them, the bike belongs to a customer so they didn't spec it, the frame is what it says in the listing. The chap I spoke to said its 17" centre to centre and 19" centre to top. They couldn't say what they thought it was worth just confirmed there is no reserve.

I bought just a frame a year or so ago for around £300 Inc postage from somewhere in Europe if that helps with a rough price guide?

Yeah well it's a diamond back do it would be an.18 inch frame.
They are very very nice frames, buy it, throw away, like everything on it, and rebuild to a nice spec and you have a real nice bike.
