I would be happy to, but it seems I'm between the devil and the deep blue - on one hand a carping know it all who's claim to fame seems to be a series of magazine scans and some well thumbed, well known Rebour online articles and on the other a few sniping posts (quickly deleted I see) neither of which make me particularly keen to share anything of note. I have a large tranche of scans myself, dating as far back as the 1880s. I've got nearly all the French and Italian annual trade cycling catalogues (hard copy) from then till the early 50's, with literally hundreds of thousands of illustrations of illustrators from every country (there was an era when Paris was the defacto hub for illustration and illustrators on a global scale). Again, I'd be happy to share if the opposition would turn the volume down a bit.
I don't claim to be an expert on Rebour (unlike some) but I do have a good deal of knowledge and expertise in vintage French and Italian advertising and illustrations and the artists concerned, from every genre. I've got a large physical collection of both. My interest is not bike-centric, I'm interested in it as an art form. I've also written about French illustrators for predominantly native publications. There's not a lot known about the life of many illustrators in Europe, which is not surprising. In France it's not really regarded as 'art', by the establishment at least, and outside of the trade it was rarely appreciated or lauded. So these great chroniclers of the age went (mostly) to their graves unsung and unrecognised.
