Cytech 2 - Spokespeople - a photographic record

Nice write up. Love perving at bikes being fixed and all the associated tools/equipment. I wonder how many cyclist actually own a JIS screwdriver or actually know they exist vs. Phillips?!

I'm assuming you qualified with flying colours?
You basically can't fail, unless you're way to slow, or can't build one wheel within tolerance. I did pass, and particularly my wheel build was good.

A good steady hand and nice Philips is fine, but why not buy the right tool and own a JIS, particularly if deraileur stop screws are starting to round or corrode.

Probably in the grand scheme of things not many will own a JIS

100% agree, many people will not own JIS screwdrivers or have even heard of them. I’m a tool nerd so had some for many years and only really used on bike stuff so will last ages. However managed for many years without them no issue. Tools are expensive, especially good tools so take many years to accumulate.
