CroMo steel with webbed tubing matrix

Picked it up last night for what I think is a bargain price. Completely original except pedals & possibly grips. Great condition. I had plans for the frame & flipping the rest but don't think I can! Just going to ride it as is for now.

Nice one, I like the Pure 7. I nearly bought one from eBay not long ago but it was snapped up before I got the chance.

Doesn't it have a reinforcement at the top of the top tube where it joins to the head tube?
I think so. To me it does look like there's some sort of reinforcement both at the top tube and down tube connecting to head tube, but it could be the glare of the frame?

Got a rapid response from Orange re the webbed tubing matrix:
The p7 pure used a grade of steel that had a lattice formed inside the tube at manufacture which meant thinner tubing could be used, the tubing was heated and stretched at precise temperatures to kind of separate the outer wall from the inner, which created the matrix(kind of like a braided steel)

Fascinating stuff IMO. Orange are not a company I associate with marketing bullshit.

Would some cutting compound get the marks out?

I think it will help. Going to give it a once over & a service.
