Cleaned up my old Bromwich beauty! (plus Overbury's) pics

I remember being in the unit when he used to put these together. They were a work of art. There was me rory hicthins and jim looking through the boxes of components when they were delivered to see what was new.

I still see jim from time to time riding the same one he built years ago.

thanks andy

Very nice!

Should be treated with a bit of reverence - its not the usual old gate!

And as you asked - here is my Overbury's from sometime back in 1988

That looks great! If you get chance could you take some straight-on shots of the head tube and down tube decals please? Mine is sans decals (its sans everything really)

That's brilliant, my friend Gary and me ordered ours at the same time. His ended up black and gold i think, also his had thinner forks, mine are oversize 531 tubing.
Dad's Overbury's was originally yellow and black. It has the U brake on the back. I will try and get some pics tomorrow, it's better nick than the Bromwich but i prefer mine! It's a shame as it's now too small really, i would like to refurb everything including the frame but i love original stuff so much i would find it hard trying to source new stickers etc for the frame. the actaul head tube sticker (the Union Jack) was a new type that Jim just had made i think. I'd love to know how many were made, can't have been too many. I've never seen another apart from Gary's but again i don't know what happened to that either.

Thanks for all the comments, it's nice to know it's appreciated by some folks!
Cheers

That's an absolute beauty mate. I had an earlier one without the wishbone stays. It had a chainstay mounted u-brake and the fillets were lush! There's a pic on the link below but it is a photo of a photo so the quality is very poor. I keep meaning to get the photo scanned. Unfortunately it is shown in it's least desirable guise as there was a crack on one of the welds and it had been retired from offroad duties by this time.
I'd love to own another so if you ever decide to sell.........

Looking forward to seeing the Overburys

This bike has had a very easy life, some mild pottering back in the day and then the odd ride on dry weekends. It was re-sprayed by Bromwich when mine was made. Hope you enjoy the pics.
My Dad is looking to sell the Overbury's so if anyone is interested in it, drop me an email on mrjonchandler (at) gmail (dot) com.
Cheers again for checking out the pics, we love these bikes!
