he retired as scant said when he either developed or had a heart condition, and was advised to keep his heartrate below 160, not exactly a great situation for a pro cyclist

i think he retired after the 96 atlanta olympics

Most of these guys are still connected to this sport somehow. His he one of them? Does anyone know? (just curious...)

Does anyone remember that the NPS XC races were on TV as well? There was a great moment where my mate riding sport (at Margham) was overtaken by the pro's and the commentator uttered " it must be terrible when those guys go past you at twice your speed" brilliant.
