Can anyone shed light on the paint on this bike? Looks like a Kona custom job to me.

The Art Dept / Art Tyler painted many custom paint jobs on Kona frames (usually Explosifs) in the late 80's / early 90's, and also painted for Brodie.

They usually have the signature seen on your frame, or the sticker above (and in @raidan73 's thread here).

Cool bike. Love the one piece bar/stem

Thanks for the confirmation regarding the Kona connection. According to Gay Wise of CBS (this was her bike) they produced three of these in '88. I'll have to try and get more info on the Kona paint connection. And the one piece bar-stem combo seems unique.

Art Tyler was Brodie's painter, from the late 80's up until around 92, before Harald took over. Some of the custom Explosifs went to Brodie for braze ons and paint, as part of TBG
