Cantis or maguras

What shall I go with....

maguras or cantis......??

I like the power of maguras and they fact they really easy to set up but they are a little heavy.......and they cane your rims.... :roll:

The canti thing......erm....well.....I havent used cantis since about 1995.......just fitted some marin lite ones to my trek temporarily and they feel nice with xtr m900 levers........(I have xtr cantis on the way)

I would go for Maguras, but on that bike... I'd stick with cantis.
Nice to have the option TBH.

I know what you mean about not using cantis though, I bought a trek with hydraulic disc brakes bake in 2002 and was amazed at the power.
Then, retro building an Orange clockwork with cantilevers, it felt like they weren't even working!
Either that or I can't set 'em up properly....
