Can you just drop stem length by 20mm?

I guess I could move forward my saddle.

It’s not that bad but when wearing a backpack it’s hard to keep my head up to look for traffic.

A 35o x 110 stem would give you similar rise and effectively shorten the reach.

I would be very wary of using an inline post on marins geometry. The seat tube is steep and you will end up too far over the cranks.

You will need a bit of layback

Keep the saddle where it needs to be.....move the bars..
