Can someone help with my Marin Serial # and Model?

I have a 1993 Marin the frame is I thick nickel plated like the team issue mtb but mine is a hybrid w/ 700c by 38 wheels
the serial # is MJ3DS0198 can anyone decifer these? Thank you very much!

Gallery&Archive has the catalogues in it, just go have a look. xt/dx setup, it's next to the kids bike.
I think it's called Point Reyes and all 3 use the same frame as far as I can tell (easier to look at 1994 specs) Similar to Bear Valley/Eldridge grade frame quality it seems.

the weird thing is that my frame is a 22 inch fromthe center crank to top of seat post, none them larger than 20.5 in the catalog?

letter or number in the serial # is the model I think and mine a "J" but haven't seen that anywhere, is very similair to the Point Reyes model though

As the frame is different to the rest, i.e. not MTB. Then the J will mean little in relation to them, they are batch numbers for a frame type for that year.

and Marin measure to the top tube, not to top of seat tube, so about 1.5" less (well it is on the mtb frames)

I would never have known that, mine has XT derailers shifters, hubs, richey logic headset, never been painted but has a metalic coating that has some surface rust on coating but not on frame where there's no coating...
