Can I bond this stay into a lug?

I've got a frame through as a deal (it's the fork I wanted more) and one of the stays has popped out of the alloy lug. I can't figure out if there's any way of repairing this, there's a thread in there but no way of getting to it. I don't know a great deal about how these carbon/alloy frames are constructed so is there a way of bonding this together or is the frame done for?

Can't really help, other than to say if you repaired it would you ever trust it?

Can you actually move it to re-bond it anyway?

Looks like an alan?

It's the British Eagle equivalent of an Alan frame but essentially very similar. I can completely remove the stay if necessary and to be honest I doubt I'd ride it really, if it's not a cheap or easy fix then it will become wall art in the garage.

I had teh same, badged as a british eagle, but I always assumed it was made by Alan.

epoxies etc have come on a LOT since that was built and if you can get it clean and then get it filled with a proper structural bonding agent, I see no reason why it wouldn't be ridable. You'd have to find the right one, and won't be 'cheap'.

Not an Alan frame. A rebond is possible with high levels of cleanliness and the right adhesive.

How so? they looked identical to me, including their odd carbon tubes? Canti mounts were the same etc?

Cable guides, dropouts, weird tubing, BB lug, weird headtube, fork etc. All identical.

Just checked some old photos, and other than the fact that mine had the cable guides on the underside of the top tube, it was identical.
