Can anyone identify this Colnago frame please, possibly a Master??

Pretty much 100% it's a Master. If you could post a few photos of the seat tube could say for sure. Hard to see the tube shapes on a black bike!

Difficult to tell from the photos, but basically the rule is if it has Gilco tubing then it's a master of some sort, if it has crimped tubing then it's likely to be a Nuovo Mexico.
However, rules are made to be broken and nobody broke them more often than Colnago.
If I really, really, had to make a guess, I'd go for it being a Master, certainly the teardrop shaped cutouts in the head lugs point that way.

Thanks.. Seat tube is round different to the other main tubes..

Now that I've been able to view the first set of pics on a large screen it looks to me that the top and down tubes are crimped. That points at a Nuovo Mexico or similar. From the style of the head lugs and the shot-in seat stays the frame is probably no older than mid to late 90s and the paint style looks to be from this side of 2000. As it's got a race number tag on the top tube (mounted a bit further back than I'd expect to see it but probably because of the front socket for the internal brake cable) I'd suspect that it's a special of some sort.

After a bit more digging I now reckon that it's the frame from a Tecnos. They had crimped top and down tubes, a race number tag and the rear brake cable went through the top tube.
All that is qualified by my assertion in my first reply about Colnago and rules.

I'm studying it also, the lugs (and the seat tube lug in particular) all remind me of a Tecnos I used to own. As I remember the front end is chromed. This looks like an original paint Colnago, but there's no tubing decal on it, which is odd. It may be a repaint, but it's definitely NOT a Master.

The two Tecnos I had were painted in Colnagos awful 'soft paint' finish, which chipped as soon as you looked at it. This would explain the repaint. A very nice frame.

The tubing decal should have been at the top of the seat tube, it would probably be under the top coat, so I'm pretty certain this is (very good) repaint of a Tecnos.
