as the fork is 1 1/8 the forcelite or complite "skinny" steel ritchey stems (manufactured by WTB I believe) are very hard to come by ( have not seen any actually :cry: )
And this one goes quite well with the seatpost.

but be happy to mount one original stem if retrobiker has one ;)

Onza bar ends were fitted to original bike ( not this model though ;) )
 
As the bike is meant to be ridden but breezer paints are known to be fragile, I am thinking to add some "helicopter tape" on the frame

Not to much of a hassle to put on ? efficient ? :idea:

Who has tried that ?

and more importantly, if I wish to take it off, wont come with some paint on it ??? :?

Exactly my thoughts. It really is a fantastic looking bike though...
 
Nice. I had a 1996 Jet Stream (red and white) that I sold on a couple of years ago. What size are those tyres? I found that I could only run 1.9s (normally Ritchey Z-Max) at the rear as clearance was tight.
 
tyres are 2.35 but clearance is OK
was contemporary to the frame

a few changes with a more racy stem finally found in Germany and seatpost with Ritchey engraved logo ;) (better than printed ones which are fragile and whose logo go away)

Tire size

Specs for the Mavic 217 give a max size of 2.1. Be careful running a 2.35.

Nice bike......pure class! ;)

TimTim is right re the 2,35's though, it's not safe.
But no worries, I'll take those too big tires off you ;) ;)
