this project itches my fingers

Frame: Breezer Lightning 1996
Cranks : Ritchey Logic
BB : UN 71
Stem : Ritchey Forcelite
Bar : Ritchey Forcelite
Seat Post : Ritchey Force Directionnal
Brakes : XT V Brakes
Commands : XT M739
Rear Mech : XTR M900
Front Mech : XTR M900
Wheels : Mavic 231 Ceramic on XTR M900
Tyres : Specialized Ground Control and Master skinwalls

Not entirely like the original 96
but I do not like the Seatpost Titec and do not think these rims and hubs "swear" with the rest.
Tyres should be black Z Max WCS but I find the skinwalls suit the frame better ! And Z Max skinwall tyres are tricky to source :cry:

Hope to complete it rather rapidly

a breezer and a fat are prob the only two bikes that float my boat these days- will look forward to seeing this one develop- black looks cool too and it seems to be in great nick

Ritchey Scuzzy Logic Pro in black
or a
Cane Creek S8 in black

The original was a Dia Compe but I am not trying to entirely replicate the original, but just build something of "good taste"

sorry, progress is not very fast :cry:

I need some advice on the wheels.

as stated won't be a catalog build.

So hesitating on the wheels
I have got a set of
Mavic 231 Ceramic on XTR M900 hubs ( a bit earlier set of wheels)
Mavic 217 SUP Silver on XT 737 Hubs ( more in tune timewise and XT hubs were on the original))

some XTR M910 Hubs ( not so common and of 1995 if I am correct so quite OK ) and some rims such as
217 Sup Silver
231 SUP CD brown NOS ( been produced until 1995 I believe)
or should I seek for other rims ( darkish Mavic like the original backdraft which are impossible to find) but tricky to find dark grey Mavic 217 :cry:

What would you reckon be the tastiest match ???

well my wife is away so I can use the kitchen to place the pieces of the puzzle and give a bit of colour to this project

let me know which wheels you think suit best ?
