didn't really know where to stick this so thought I'd put it here for all to see and discuss- weighs a ridiculous amount and is going to take a fair amount of work to get it into a reasonable condition.
Stick it in the garden with a basket of flowers on the front and never ride it anywhere. There are loads around and they're not great to ride, better as industrial art
Nice to see it has a Dynamo just to add to the effort required to get it rolling, Rod Brakes coupled with the inertia should mean a stopping distance of no more than a mile or so once you do get moving! Not sure you'll ever find another steerer long enough for that headtube either.
I love these old things, I have an ex Post Office bike of unknown age/make which really needs a sortout but is actually OK to ride as long as you make allowances for the basket (more of a shelf in this case) but it isn't 'blessed' with rod brakes so you can actually stop it reasonably quickly.
Don't know if there is a date on the hubs- I've not really had a proper look at it yet, it looks as though it's had a really bad respray at some point, but the head badge is there, says it's made by Hopper?
