didn't really know where to stick this so thought I'd put it here for all to see and discuss- weighs a ridiculous amount and is going to take a fair amount of work to get it into a reasonable condition.

Stick it in the garden with a basket of flowers on the front and never ride it anywhere. There are loads around and they're not great to ride, better as industrial art

Just for a laugh I'd cover it in purple ano components :D

Looks like it weighs a ton (or maybe two) so should be great if your looking for a training bike. ;) :)

Nice to see it has a Dynamo just to add to the effort required to get it rolling, Rod Brakes coupled with the inertia should mean a stopping distance of no more than a mile or so once you do get moving! ;) Not sure you'll ever find another steerer long enough for that headtube either.

I love these old things, I have an ex Post Office bike of unknown age/make which really needs a sortout but is actually OK to ride as long as you make allowances for the basket (more of a shelf in this case) but it isn't 'blessed' with rod brakes so you can actually stop it reasonably quickly.

The big black butcher is going to be mighty pissed off when he finds out you've got his bike.

Nice. Quite a bewildering array of imperial wheel sizes though. Is there a date on either of the hubs?

Don't know if there is a date on the hubs- I've not really had a proper look at it yet, it looks as though it's had a really bad respray at some point, but the head badge is there, says it's made by Hopper?
