The big black butcher is going to be mighty pissed off when he finds out you've got his bike.

Don't know if there is a date on the hubs- I've not really had a proper look at it yet, it looks as though it's had a really bad respray at some point, but the head badge is there, says it's made by Hopper?

Is it star shaped? Or tall and thin?

my dad commuted on a similar bike like this for 20 yrs untill someone stole it

don't wreck it with bollox flowers etc, get it running and enjoy it.

There's a club for owners of bikes like this but I don't know if they ever have meat - ings.

I may well do that, It is in major need of a restoration I'm hoping to strip it down and have a proper butchers during the week see what can be salvaged and what needs replacing

Well the headbadge tells us it's a hopper made by elswick.

They did those in 3 different sizes ..... I might have a chainset for one in good nick if you are in need...... I've got a frame, fork and headset, I know that :0)
