Yep I think thats exactly what Ball Burnishing is - and I really see no reason why you couldnt wire wool the frame - as long as you gave it a good polish with autosol afterwards - which you would have to do with a BB frame to keep it looking good anyway
Well you would have loved this - it's got Patena up the wazoo - nah patena's not my deal ay, I'm prety pickey so it has to look as good as I can possible make it within reason
I'm just guessing here, but I think ball burnishing creates a thin layer of higher density aluminum, which is why you may not want to abrade it. Ball burnishing is a longer lasting polishing treatment. Similarly, anodizing creates a thin layer of aluminum oxide, which is also harder and longer wearing. I don't know if re-ball-burnishing is an option... is it?
