Best way to polish crank arms??

I have a set of xtr m900 chainset and it is dull and heel rub, so want to get them back up looking nice.

So how is best to do this?? i have a tube of autosol to use, so any tips ??
 
Put up some pics pal so we can see them.

Sounds like an easy thing to do, mabey I can help. Lets see them though.

I have posted my (very time consuming :LOL: but very good results :cool: :LOL:) method in one of my build threads (I think it's the Marin) - I can't see why it wouldn't work wonders on cranks to :cool:

Make sure you post up before and after pictures :cool:

if they are scratched or scored you'll need wet and dry before polish. use as fine a grade as you can but deep scored will need a coarse grain. go through the grades of paper then onto the polish

No! 400 or 600 P60 will cause you a serious amount of work espcially on something the size of that. P60 will remove too much material.

I'll post some pics tomoorow of something i've done using 400 only.
