Best Bike shop in Sussex/Surrey area?

I'm not sure any lbs's are worth travelling to visit are they? Used to do that, but with market forces the way they are, you don't find much exotica you can't see on teh web easily enough, that often. And the internet has removed that kudos of actualy fondling a king headset etc. Or maybe that's age. We've all got them/ seen them/ sold them enough to not be that bothered by modern bike exotica. That's why we are all here isn't it. cos older stuff is more exotic.



My lbs is Beyond mtb's in Cranleigh (between Horsham and Guildford). Not that much of note actually i there as it were. Worth a look if you are passing. Good service and nice people.

Finch Cycles in Reigate is a great shop!! Can't recommend it highly enough. Really friendly, if it's not stocked they can usually order it.

None o them stock much exotica now, they can "always order" it and it never turns up for weeks if at all. The whole point of an LBS is that you can handle before you buy! Otherwise an LBS serves no purpose for the enthusiast whatsoever. We have a shop up here in the frozen North at Scarboro' thats actually on an industrial site, and for 12 years B4 used to be in a tin shed on a farm! They've been extremely successful. Why? Because they have a huge stock of top bikes and components. Full Hope, Orange, GT, Rockshox/Marzocchi/Pace ranges and numerous imports always on stock, will build you any wheel combo too. well worth a visit- Grip Cycles.
