On the positive side, a new deore 1x10 groupset is a bargain trade, and i'd braze disc tabs on it and fit mt200s.
That would be a killer!

No I’m also justifying this build to myself as it’s steel frame, rigid forks, rim brakes, 1 x11 because I have an 3x9 aluminium hardtail with front suspension and discs.

Interesting the tyres are inflated in the photo, unusual in a country auction bicycle

Planning a ride over a couple of very interesting bridges near the auction house, so I'll stick my toolbag in the car, and track pump too, in case tyre pressure is for display purposes

I think I will auction off all the components, keeping a tally in this thread.
Partly it's to illustrate the tragedy that a bike is less than the sum of its parts.

But after riding it 20k today, its so smooth, I'm thinking of brazing a disc mount on the back to repurpose the frame as a 653 tourer.
