I don't know how I missed this a couple of months ago - I'm normally drawn to the older builds. Beautiful bike and a wonderful rebuild in my eyes. I'm not against restorations, but I do like patina and stuff is only original once. I think your bike looks all the better for it!

Hello History man, just had a pleasant lunch-time read of this old thread after clicking on the "Armstrong" on your signature. How do you do that by the way? (make a thread link out of a bike name)
Also, although nearly 5 years on, can I say that was an inspiring first restoration. Does the bike still come out on "high days & Holidays" ?

It was always too small for me so was restored for the pleasure of the father in law. It’s still in the shed. It will go to his grandson eventually.
